I would highly recommend Linda Couvreur to anyone who needed to navigate through a challenging employment dispute. Having moved to the Netherlands for my job a few years back, I found myself in an unexpected and difficult situation with my employers. The situation got worse over a few months and I was reaching breaking point. I didn’t want to involve a lawyer but one particular incident left me with no choice. A former colleague, who had also unfortunately needed LInda’s advice, recommended I speak to her urgently. Linda took time out of a busy schedule to be immediately available and give me initial advice of how to respond to the incident, which meant I could protect myself and calm down. Thereafter, I met her a number of times both in person and online and found her to be empathetic and sensitive alongside being thoroughly professional and smart. She explained clearly and patiently the legal protection I was entitled to, and the different options I might want to explore. As my work situation had become untenable my case progressed to mediation. Linda helped me work out what was in my best interest, and what was fair.  She prepared me well for the various mediation sessions; she always asked what I wanted and needed before advising, she was frank and clear about risks, and confident in her expertise. During the final mediation itself she was just brilliant; I felt  safe in a very difficult and stressful situation, she gave me the space to work out my responses and to negotiate a settlement that was fair and met my needs. And she was kind. Having had the support to stand up and fight for my rights from Linda I am now strong enough to start afresh. Without Linda I am sure things would have turned out very differently. I can’t recommend her enough.
